BetMGM announced Tuesday that it had extended its partnership as the official sports betting partner of Richard Childress Racing.
BetMGM, which has been an authorized NASCAR Gaming Partner since August 2020, signed its first deal with Richard Childress Racing in 2021. The deal’s extension comes ahead of the start of the 2024 NASCAR racing season with the Daytona 500 on Feb. 18 and North Carolina — the hotbed of NASCAR fandom — launching legal sports betting on March 11. BetMGM will begin pre-registering bettors in the Tar Heel State on March 1.
“Richard Childress Racing is an iconic name in motorsports, and it aligns with BetMGM’s goal to partner with best-in-class organizations,” said BetMGM Chief Revenue Officer Matt Prevost in a joint statement. “North Carolina is home to some of the most passionate motorsports fans in the world, and BetMGM’s extended partnership with RCR will surely hit another gear with the start of legalized sports betting in North Carolina.”
The No. 3 car driven by Austin Dillon and the No. 8 car piloted by Kyle Busch will again serve as the vehicles that will feature BetMGM marks, with BetMGM serving as the primary sponsor of the cars for select races throughout the 2024 season on the NASCAR Cup circuit.
“Since our partnership first began in 2021, BetMGM has done an excellent job building on their partnership with Richard Childress Racing through fun, unique activations geared toward engaging race fans and sports bettors. We look forward to building on the success of our innovative partnership,” RCR President Torrey Galida said.
BetMGM also reached a market access deal with Charlotte Motor Speedway earlier in January to launch its betting app in North Carolina.
