Fanatics Sportsbook launched its Pennsylvania sports betting app Monday morning at 11 a.m. local time, according to a company spokesperson. The launch is Fanatics’ first of the new year and its 11th digital sportsbook launch nationwide.
The company also debuted its new online casino, which is embedded within the sportsbook app and is also available in West Virginia. The sports betting app is available for download in the App Store for iOS users and GooglePlay for Android users.
Fanatics Betting and Gaming last August announced a deal to acquire all PointsBet USA properties and has been shifting customers to its new platform since. Under the terms of the deal, Fanatics Betting and Gaming acquired sportsbook market access in 12 U.S. jurisdictions. As Fanatics has awaited regulatory approval in multiple states, PointsBet customers have had access to a platform branded “PointsBet, a Fanatics Experience.”
The first 48 hours of the launch will be a soft launch under the watchful eye of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board. The PGCB has launched every operator in this fashion before allowing a full launch. During soft launch, customers will be able to sign up and play with no restrictions.
Customers will have access to FanCash
Fanatics’ go-live is the second new option for those in Pennsylvania in the last three months after a two-year drought.
PENN Entertainment in November rebranded and launched its ESPN BET Pennsylvania platform. Prior to that, the last new offering in the Keystone State was PointsBet in February 2022. Pennsylvania law caps the number of platforms at 13, and digital sportsbooks must be tethered to brick-and-mortar casinos.
Fanatics is partnered with PENN’s Hollywood Casino (York) but will not have a retail sportsbook in Pennsylvania.

According to a press release, the “username, password, account balance, rewards points, and responsible gaming settings” of every existing PointsBet customer will automatically be moved over to the Fanatics Sportsbook platform and will now be eligible for the company’s FanCash.
Customers can get up to 5% of every same-game parlay, 3% of every parlay, and 1% of every straight bet back in FanCash, which can be used as a bonus bet or on the Fanatics website to purchase team gear.
