The Detroit Lions vs. Buffalo Bills is set for Thursday Night Football at 8:15 p.m. ET on Prime Video, the first regular-season game inside new Highmark Stadium.
Both teams are 1-0 after wins that went to the wire. Josh Allen threw for 334 yards and ran in two touchdowns in Buffalo’s comeback at Houston. Jahmyr Gibbs piled up 156 rushing yards and two scores in Detroit’s overtime escape against New Orleans. James Cook and Amon-Ra St. Brown headline the rest of the board.
This is the kind of game the touchdown market was built for. Below you get the full Lions vs. Bills anytime touchdown odds, the NFL betting promos worth claiming first, and three picks I like before kickoff. All of the best betting apps are live for this one, so shop your price.

Prediction markets are the second route. Kalshi and Polymarket price this game as a tradable contract instead of a fixed-odds bet, so your position moves with the market and you can close it out before the final whistle. Lions vs. Bills Anytime Touchdown Picks and Predictions
Buffalo is a 4.5-point favorite, and the total sits at 53.5, which points to a night where both offenses reach the goal line more than once.
My three Lions vs. Bills touchdown predictions today are built as a set: two short prices on two specialists destined for the end zone, and one longshot for anyone looking for the big one to add. Lay these as singles, add them to parlays or more, the choice is yours, take the one that suits how you bet. Then sit back and enjoy the Lions vs. Bills on Thursday Night Football.
Lions vs. Bills Anytime Touchdown Pick 1: Josh Allen (-120)
Allen is my main play, and it is not close. Buffalo uses its quarterback as a goal-line back, and we cashed in on him in that role last week.
He ran in two scores against Houston, from 21 and one yards. Following this up with the 34-yard game-winner to Joshua Palmer. That pushed him to 81 career rushing touchdowns, 20th all time, and 43 since the start of 2023, second in the NFL behind Derrick Henry.
Detroit has already been at the mercy of Josh Allen twice. Allen ran for 78 yards and a score on Thanksgiving in 2022, then added two rushing touchdowns in the 48-42 win at Ford Field in December 2024, one a leap across the goal line. Teammates and fans call him Superman for a reason, and he clearly loves breaking out the cape vs. the Lions.
The risk is game script. If Buffalo builds a lead, short-yardage carries can slide back to Cook. But Allen is lethal on designed runs and scrambles. QB sneaks, draws, or even a boot to the end zone- it doesn’t matter; we know he is good for it. I will take that chance at this number.
Back Josh Allen at -120 on Fanatics Sportsbook, if you want to follow our experts pick.
Lions vs. Bills Anytime Touchdown Pick 2: Jahmyr Gibbs (-275)
Gibbs is the shortest price on the board because Detroit’s offense now runs entirely through him, the 1st round pick showing his worth at Ford Field last week.
He touched it 34 times in Week 1, carrying 29 times for 156 yards with one-yard touchdown runs in the first and third quarters. His backfield partner David Montgomery was traded to Houston in the offseason, so nobody is stealing goal-line work now either.
The matchup helps too. Buffalo finished 28th in rushing yards allowed and 30th in yards per carry last season and did little to fix it, relying on outsourcing their opponents rather than stopping them. After last week’s 60+ point games for both sides, this could be another shootout, perfect for TD scorer bets.
Laying -275 means risking $275 to win $100; small winnings, yes, and Gibbs lost a fumble last week. Use him as a parlay leg, not a standalone ticket. Back Jahmyr Gibbs at -275 on BetMGM, who we think is the most likely TD scorer tonight.
Lions vs. Bills Anytime Touchdown Pick 3: Sam LaPorta (+230)
LaPorta is the big payout play, and a tight end at plus money in a game with a 53.5 total is worth the swing. Take him as a single for a good payout or elevate your parlays massively with his odds; your call.
LaPorta has scored 20 touchdowns in his first three seasons and opened Week 1 with five catches for 48 yards on eight targets, one of three Lions to clear eight alongside St. Brown and Jameson Williams.
His chances in this one will only be helped by new coordinator Drew Petzing, who built his reputation in Arizona on feeding Trey McBride. Eight targets for no TD is tough, but if he maintains this rate, the end zone is not far off.
The risk is health and pecking order, as a back injury ended his 2025 season after nine games; a hip problem followed him out of camp. Gibbs is also usually the first call near the goal line, but TEs offer that box-out target that QBs love in the red zone.
He has been a favourite target of Goff in tough times, and a battle with the Bills promises to be one of the tests of the season for this Lions squad. Back Sam LaPorta at +230 on Fanatics Sportsbook if you want a longshot TD scorer in the Lions vs. Bills.
Final Lions vs. Bills Prediction
Expect a fast game in a loud building. Detroit will feed Gibbs on early downs to shorten the night and keep Allen on the sideline, and Buffalo will answer with play-action and let its quarterback finish drives himself. Both teams will produce a lot of red-zone trips, which is exactly what these three TD scorer bets need. A 53.5 total in a matchup that produced 90 points in 2024 looks beatable.
My Bills vs. Lions prediction is 31-27 Buffalo, with Allen accounting for at least two scores.
