DraftKings is on track to launch in Massachusetts on March 10, the state’s planned launch date for online sports betting. The company was founded in Boston and still maintains its headquarters in the city.
BetMGM Sportsbook Massachusetts promo
BetMGM is also set to launch on March 10. It was the second sportsbook to receive a license to operate in Massachusetts, and it is under the same parent company as the MGM Springfield casino.

Sports betting bills have been moving through the Massachusetts Legislature since at least 2021, but one such bill finally passed both the House and Senate in August 2022, late in the legislative session. Gov. Charlie Baker signed it into law on Aug. 10, and in-person retail sports betting launched in the state on Jan. 31, 2023. Massachusetts Gaming Commission Executive Director Karen Wells has proposed March 10 as the date for the launch of online sports betting in Massachusetts.
