NFL Week 18 best odds and betting breakdowns
Cleveland Browns at Cincinnati Bengals
Spread: Browns , Bengals
Moneyline: Browns , Bengals
The Cleveland Browns clinched a playoff spot with a 37-20 home win over the Jets on Thursday night, improving to 11-5 on the season. QB Joe Flacco had another big game, throwing for three TDs and one INT while finishing with 309 passing yards. WR Elijah Moore is in the league’s concussion protocol after a scary moment on the field in the win. WR Amari Cooper could return to the lineup this week, though the team may opt to rest him for the playoffs. K Riley Patterson took over kicking duties for the injured Dustin Hopkins and made his lone field goal attempt.
The Cincinnati Bengals are 8-7 heading into a road game against Kansas City later this afternoon. WR Ja’Marr Chase has been battling a shoulder injury, but is expected to be back in the lineup. Cincinnati is coming off a loss that snapped a three-game winning streak.
Minnesota Vikings at Detroit Lions
Spread: Vikings , Lions
Moneyline: Vikings , Lions
The Minnesota Vikings are at home against the Packers on Sunday night this week. The team is 7-8 headed into that contest, and still have a chance to make the playoffs. WR Jordan Addison is dealing with an ankle injury, but is expected to play. QB Jaren Hall has been named the starter under center for now.
The Detroit Lions slipped to 11-5 with a narrow 20-19 road loss against the Cowboys on Saturday night. QB Jared Goff threw for 271 yards with one score, but was picked off twice as Detroit came up just short. WR Jameson Williams left with an ankle injury and is considered questionable this week. Detroit is 5-2 at home this season, and have clinched the NFC North, but are still battling for home field through at least a portion of the postseason.
Jacksonville Jaguars at Tennessee Titans
Spread: Jaguars , Titans
Moneyline: Jaguars , Titans
The Jacksonville Jaguars improved to 9-7 with a 26-0 win over the Panthers at home on Sunday. QB CJ Beathard threw for 178 yards but no scores through the air while playing in place of the injured Trevor Lawrence. The team is said to be targeting this game for Lawrence’s return to the lineup. WR Zay Jones was inactive with a hamstring issue, but could be back in the lineup this week as the Jaguars continue to battle for the AFC South title.
The Tennessee Titans got walloped on the road against the Texans, 26-3. Tennessee falls to 5-10 with the loss, with playoffs now long since out of the question. QB Will Levis was back in the lineup after missing time with an ankle injury, but was knocked out of this game with an injury to the same foot. Ryan Tannehill came on in relief and completed 16 of 20 passes for 168 yards. With nothing left to play for, it appears unlikely that Levis will start this game.
Chicago Bears at Green Bay Packers
Spread: Bears , Packers
Moneyline: Bears , Packers
The Chicago Bears improved to 7-9 on the season with a home win on Sunday, beating Atlanta 37-17. QB Justin Fields ran for one score and threw for another, with no turnovers in any facet of the game for Chicago. While the Bears will finish the season with a winning record at home, the team is 2-6 on the road.
The Green Bay Packers are on the road against Minnesota on Sunday Night Football this week. The Packers will likely need to win out to have a chance of making the playoffs, and could be eliminated from contention with a loss in Sunday night’s game. WR Christian Watson is still dealing with a hamstring injury and his status is in doubt.
Houston Texans at Indianapolis Colts
Spread: Texans , Colts
Moneyline: Texans , Colts
The Houston Texans moved to 9-7 on the season with a lopsided home win over the Titans, 26-3. QB CJ Stroud returned to the lineup and threw for 213 yards with one score. LT Laremy Tunsil left the game with a groin injury and was ruled out. His status for this game isn’t clear yet. Houston remains even with both Indianapolis and Jacksonville for the lead in the AFC South.
The Indianapolis Colts improved to 9-7 and stayed in the hunt for the AFC title with a 23-20 home win over the Raiders on Sunday. QB Gardner Minshew threw for 224 yards and one score in the game. Indianapolis now sits in three-way tie with Houston and Jacksonville for the division lead.
Denver Broncos at Las Vegas Raiders
Spread: Broncos , Raiders
Moneyline: Broncos , Raiders
The Denver Broncos host the Chargers later on Sunday. The team is 7-8 headed into that contest, but is expected to sit QB Russell Wilson to avoid triggering an injury guarantee in his contract. If Wilson is benched, Jarrett Stidham would take over under center for Denver. WR Courtland Sutton is still in the league’s concussion protocol.
The Las Vegas Raiders slipped to 7-9 and saw all playoff hopes vanish with a 23-20 road loss against the Colts on Sunday. QB Aidan O’Connell threw for two scores with 299 yards passing, with WR Davante Adams hauling in both TD passes to finish with 126 receiving yards. The Raiders have struggled on the road, but are 5-3 st home this season.
Buffalo Bills at Miami Dolphins
Spread: Bills , Dolphins
Moneyline: Bills , Dolphins
The Buffalo Bills beat the Patriots 27-21 at home on Sunday to move to 10-6 on the season, putting the team in a good position to make the playoffs. QB Josh Allen ran for two scores but had a less impressive day as a passer, throwing two picks and finishing with 169 yards through the air. LB Von Miller was inactive due to a coach’s decision. His status this week isn’t clear yet. The Bills have struggled away from home this season with a 3-4 road record.
The Miami Dolphins got battered on the road in Baltimore on Sunday, losing 56-19 to fall to 11-5 on the season. QB Tua Tagovailoa threw for 237 yards with two TDs and two INTs before leaving with a shoulder issue. Tagovailoa’s injury status for this week isn’t yet clear, as the Dolphins maintain a slight lead over a surging Buffalo in the AFC East.
Atlanta Falcons at New Orleans Saints
Spread: Falcons , Saints
Moneyline: Falcons , Saints
The Atlanta Falcons are 7-9 after a road loss against Chicago on Sunday, 37-17. QB Taylor Heinecke threw three INTs and one TD before being spelled by Desmond Ridder, who only attempted four passes but still managed to throw one pick of his own. The loss hurts Atlanta’s dimming playoff hopes, but the loss by Tampa Bay this week keeps some hope alive for the Falcons.
The New Orleans Saints are 8-8 after a 23-13 road win over divisional rivals Tampa Bay on Sunday. QB Derek Carr threw for 197 yards with two TDs through the air. RB Alvin Kamara left with an ankle injury and did not return. His status for this game isn’t clear. This win puts the Saints even with the Buccaneers in the NFC South race.
New York Jets at New England Patriots
Spread: Jets , Patriots
Moneyline: Jets , Patriots
The New York Jets dropped to 6-10 on the season with a 37-20 road loss against the Browns on Thursday night. QB Trevor Siemian threw one TD and one INT along with 261 passing yards on the day while taking over for Zach Wilson, who was out with a concussion. Wilson could potentially clear the concussion protocol in time to play this week, but with nothing to play for it’s unclear if the team would choose to start him. New York is 2-5 on the road this season.
The New England Patriots fell to 4-12 on Sunday with a 27-21 road loss against Buffalo. QB Bailey Zappe was picked off three times in the loss but did run in one score. WR DeVante Parker left with a rib injury and his availability for this game is in question. The Patriots are just 1-7 at home this season.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Carolina Panthers
Spread: Buccaneers , Panthers
Moneyline: Buccaneers , Panthers
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers slipped to 8-8 on the season with a 23-13 loss at home against NFC South rivals New Orleans. QB Baker Mayfield threw for two scores and was picked off twice. The Buccaneers are 4-4 on the road this season and could help their bid to win the NFC South with a victory this week over the team with the league’s fewest wins.
The Carolina Panthers dropped to 2-14 on the season after being blanked on the road against the Jaguars, 26-0 on Sunday. QB Bryce Young was limited to 112 yards passing with two INTs in the game. Carolina managed just 124 yards of total offense in the game. The team is 2-5 at home this season.
Philadelphia Eagles at New York Giants
Spread: Eagles , Giants
Moneyline: Eagles , Giants
The Philadelphia Eagles are 11-5 on the season after a shocking 35-31 upset loss at home against Arizona on Sunday. QB Jalen Hurts threw for 167 yards with three TDs through the air and one INT. Philadelphia has now lost four of the last five and is even with Dallas in the race for the NFC East title.
The New York Giants fell to 5-11 with a 26-25 home loss on Sunday. QB Tyrod Taylor was back in the starting role, throwing for 319 yards and one TD with one INT. The Giants have lost three straight, and are 3-4 at home.
Seattle Seahawks at Arizona Cardinals
Spread: Seahawks , Cardinals
Moneyline: Seahawks , Cardinals
The Seattle Seahawks are at home against the Steelers later this afternoon. Seattle comes in at 8-7 and still battling for a potential Wild Card spot. The team is expected to have WR DK Metcalf and RB Kenneth Walker in the lineup after both have missed time while dealing with injuries. The Seahawks are 3-5 on the road this season.
The Arizona Cardinals picked up an upset win on Sunday, beating Philadelphia 35-31 on the road to move to 4-12 on the season. QB Kyler Murray threw a bad pick that was returned for a score early, but rebounded to finish with three TDs and 232 yards through the air. RB James Conner also had a big day, running for 128 yards and one TD. LT DJ Humphries left with a knee injury and is questionable for this game.
Kansas City Chiefs at Los Angeles Chargers
Spread: Chiefs , Chargers
Moneyline: Chiefs , Chargers
The Kansas City Chiefs are at home against the Bengals later on Sunday afternoon. The team is 9-6 and coming off a home loss to the Raiders on Christmas Day, the fourth home loss of the season for Kansas City. RB Isiah Pacheco is still dealing with a shoulder injury, and his status for this final game of the regular season is yet to be determined.
The Los Angeles Chargers are 5-10 and slated to face the Broncos on the road later on Sunday. Los Angeles has been eliminated from playoff contention, and with receivers Keenan Allen (foot) and Josh Palmer (concussion) out for today’s game, it’s unclear whether or not the team will bother to rush either man back to action for this game.
Los Angeles Rams at San Francisco 49ers
Spread: Rams , 49ers
Moneyline: Rams , 49ers
The Los Angeles Rams are 9-7 on the season following a road win over the Giants, 26-25. QB Matthew Stafford threw for 312 yards and one score but was also picked off twice. RB Kyren Williams ran for three TDs in the victory. The Rams could clinch a playoff berth with a win over a San Francisco squad that essentially has nothing to play for.
The San Francisco 49ers improved to 12-4 on Sunday with a 24-10 road win over the Commanders. QB Brock Purdy rebounded from last week’s poor showing by throwing for two scores and 230 yards with zero turnovers on the day. RB Christian McCaffrey exited with a calf injury and his current status is unknown. Elijah Mitchell got the bulk of the work out of the backfield in McCaffrey’s absence, running for 80 yards and one score.
Dallas Cowboys at Washington Commanders
Spread: Cowboys , Commanders
Moneyline: Cowboys , Commanders
The Dallas Cowboys remained undefeated at home after pulling off a comeback victory over the Lions on Saturday, 20-19. QB Dak Prescott threw for 345 yards with two TDs and one INT in the win. G Tyler Smith suffered a foot injury in the game, but isn’t expected to miss time with the injury. Despite their 11-5 overall record, the Cowboys are just 3-5 on the road this season.
The Washington Commanders are coming off a 24-10 home loss to the 49ers on Sunday, dropping the team to 4-12 on the season with a dismal home record of 1-6. QB Sam Howell was picked off twice in the loss, with one passing TD and 169 yards on 28 attempts. Cornerbacks Christian Holmes and Tariq Castro-Fields were both knocked out of this game. The status of both men remains unclear.
Pittsburgh Steelers at Baltimore Ravens
Spread:
Moneyline:
The Pittsburgh Steelers are on the road to take on the Seahawks later this afternoon. The team comes in at 8-7, with a 3-3 record on the road. QB Mason Rudolph is expected to start today’s game, but with Kenny Pickett expected to be fully healthy and ready for a potential return in Week 18, it’s still unclear who will be the starter for this game.
The Baltimore Ravens turned in another stellar performance on Sunday, beating the Dolphins 56-19 at home to improve to 13-3 on the season, guaranteeing that they’ll finish the season as the AFC’s top team. QB Lamar Jackson took a big step forward in the MVP race, throwing for five TDs and 321 yards with no turnovers. This means Baltimore essentially has nothing to play for in this game, and may choose to rest some starters as a result.
